Ed and Kathleen
Ed was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1946 and moved to Miami with his parents and two brothers when he was five.
In the late 1970's, long before we met, Ed moved to a small rural town in north-central Florida. He bought approximately six wooded acres in the middle of nowhere. For the first few months, he literally, and by choice, lived off the land, sleeping in a hammock and hunting wild hog with just his dog and a knife.
In 1994, Ed and I met, then married on New Year's Eve that same year. We bought five acres in that same small rural town in north-central Florida and built a house. Then in 2012, we moved to a sleepy little town in northeast Tennessee where we both are enjoying our retirement.
In my opinion, Ed is not afraid of anything. He says that his wartime duty in Vietnam was the only time in his adult life that he was truly afraid. Ed was a tunnel rat and demolition expert who knew he would die in Vietnam.
